Overview
Gloo Insights Maps lets you visualize individuals with specific attributes in a geographic area (like your own community) in order to build a new Audience or to identify individuals within an existing Audience (like your own members).
Building Audiences in Maps
- Click Insights from the top menu, then click Maps from the drop-down
- From the sidebar on the left, make sure Build Audiences is selected or click to select it
- Click the "Location" drop-down and set an Audience Location
- Locations can be an address, city, state or ZIP code
- You can also click the Pin icon next to the drop-down and click anywhere on the map to set an Audience Location
- Example: the location of your existing church or a proposed new site
- Click and drag the slider under "Radius" to set a radius from your location
- It can be anywhere from 1 to 50 miles
- You can only set a radius if you use an exact address
- Click Audience Filter categories to expand them and select up to 2 attributes to visualize
- Each dot that appears represents a household that corresponds to a data attribute you selected for the map
- Dots that are darker than others indicates multiple households' data has been compiled into one dot since the Maps algorithm provides a bit of randomness to preserve people's privacy
- As you use Audience Filters, the Audience size that meets each filter is displayed next to that criterion in the list
- When you're finished, click the Save Audience button at the bottom of the sidebar on the left (you may have to scroll down to see it)
- Enter an Audience Name and set a Location (the Organization associated with your Audience) then click the blue Create Audience button
