Lapsed Donors

About the Lapsed Donor Report

Lapsed donors represent someone who has given $500 or more to the general fund in a calendar year but who gives less than $500 to the general fund the following year. This represents a “back door” to giving at your church. As a church focused on fundraising, you want to make the back door as small as possible - in other words, try to catch people on the way out, before they leave.

The Lapsed Donor Report is designed to help you visualize the giving that you aren't receiving. It does this by showing you the amount given by these donors from the previous year. For Example, if you have selected the 2019 year, the values represented in each giving band are from the previous year.

Customizing Your Report

Lapsed Donor Report Timeframe

The Lapsed Donor Report supports a four year time frame, based on a 12-month window.

The date range selector on the left-hand side of the screen allows users to select whether they’d like to view reporting by calendar year or by 12-month sliding window from the current month.

Funds included in Analytics

The reports will include all Funds in the categories selected in the left sidebar.

To select which of the three Fund Categories are active, click the checkbox next to that fund.

  • To edit which funds are included in each Fund Category, click the ‘Edit’ button next to the Fund Category list to be redirected to the ‘Funds’ Admin tab.

Only users with Role permission to edit/recategorize Funds will see the ‘Edit’ button.

Click on a giving band to see a dynamic chart for that specific data set.
