Troubleshooting Facebook Activation

About this Document

Successfully Activating your Gloo Insights Audience to Facebook can be a complex process. We have created this troubleshooting document to help simplify the process and make it easier to successfully complete an Activation.

Facebook is often changing and testing new interfaces. Because of this, this document may occasionally differ from what you see in The Facebook Business Manager. If instructions don't seem to line up, use Facebook's Help Center or contact us.

 


 

My Audience isn't showing up in Facebook 

  • Have you created your Facebook Business Manager account? If not, do so here.
  • Does the person who will be managing the Ad Campaigns have full Admin Access?
    • It is possible that the Audience pushed, but the people who need to see it can't because they don't have access to it. The following instructions are for whoever is the Admin for the Facebook Business account, so if that's not you just forward this article to whoever needs it!

 

To manage your people, click on the Gear icon to navigate to the Settings Page.

  1. Click on People
  2. Click on the + ADD button toward the top of the screen
  3. Make sure that you select Admin to ensure that the individual will be able to view and activate ad campaigns
  4. Next, assign assets to the people you have added
  5. Select or search for your organization’s Facebook Page
  6. Select the person’s Role for your Facebook Page
  7. Select the Ad Account to which you want to give each person access

If you’re the Admin, make sure you give yourself Admin Access & “Assign Assets” to yourself for ALL of the appropriate Ad Accounts & Pages. Just because you’re setting up the account, doesn’t mean you’re automatically assigned to all assets.

 

Is your Business Manager Account connected to your Business Facebook Page?

  1. Click on the collapsed menu icon on the top left corner of the screen
  2. Then Click Business Settings under the Setting Header
  3. Click on Pages on the left sidebar
  4. Then click the blue +ADD button
  5. From this pop-up window, you can Add a Page, Create a Page, or Request access to a Page (use this option if you are running a campaign on behalf of an organization)

Is your Business Manager Account connected to an Ad Account?

    1. Click on the "hamburger" menu icon on the top left corner of the screen
    2. Then Click Business Settings under the Setting Header
    3. Click on Ad Accounts on the left sidebar
    4. Click the blue +ADD button
    5. From this pop-up window, you can Add an Ad Account, Create an Ad Account, or Request Access to an Ad Account (use this option if you are running a campaign on behalf of an organization)
